The HV Hildur was a 116-ft cargo ship. It was built in the Netherlands in 1916 as the sail-logger Errato IV. The vessel changed hands many times over the years, being named the Elise in 1954, the Jorgen Madsen in 1955, Hervig in 1963, Regnbuen in 1966, and finally the Hildur . In the mid 1990's the ship was abandoned in a corner of St George's lagoon, and left there to rust. Finally in July 2007 the Hildur was refloated, towed to a location about a mile offshore and scuttled to become an artificial reef. The vessel sits upright in 112 to 120 feet of water.
