Deep Dive - where you can learn more about Underwater Museum of Art (MUSA).

MUSA is an underwater sculpture museum with over 500 sculptures by British sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor and five Mexican sculptors. The sculptures are arranged in three galleries submerged between 3 and 6 metres deep. Celebrated works include the Bankers, a symbol of how little we look to the future and how we are focused on short-term gain. In the words of Mr. Taylor, “It is named a museum for a simple reason. Every day we dredge, pollute and overfish our oceans, while museums are places of preservation, of conservation, and of education. They are places where we keep objects that have great value to us. Our oceans are sacred.” Mr Taylor is also the creator of the Molinere Underwater Sculpture Park in Grenada, the Ocean Atlas, a 5-m tall, 60-ton sculpture off the west coast of New Providence island, Bahamas, the Museo Atlantico off the island of Lanzarote, Spain, the Coral Greenhouse in Australia, and many others. For more information about Mr Talyor and his works of art, please visit Jason Taylor. He has sculpture gardens in eleven countries around the world.
